About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our team as a Medication Aide at Tabitha. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, toileting, transferring/ambulation, and continence.
  • Provide support with senior/client admissions, discharges, transfers, and orientation of new employees.
  • Follow department protocol for submission of completed documentation.
  • Prioritize assignments, making adjustments throughout the shift to meet frequently changing senior/client/caregiver/TEAMember/manager needs.
  • Perform work duties within the assigned work environment related to the position, as assigned by Tabitha.
  • Provide and document basic therapeutic care not requiring nursing judgment, such as obtaining heights, weights, and measuring vital signs.
  • Prepare breakfast, snacks, and other foods requested by/for senior/client.
  • Process senior/client laundry.
  • Evaluate emergency situations, performing CPR when necessary, based on training.
Requirements
  • Valid CNA and/or MA-40 certification in good standing as demonstrated by inclusion on the Nebraska State Registry.
  • CPR certification.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull 50 pounds and pass a physical exam demonstrating strength and agility.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • 6 months experience as an aide or caregiver preferred.
