Job Summary and Qualifications

Position Summary:


The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct nursing care in alignment with the established policies and procedures of Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare and the Texas Board of Nursing.

In collaboration with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals, the clinical RN assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates treatment strategies.


Essential Functions:
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge and application of the nursing process.
- Monitors and identifies changes in patients' behavioral and physiological conditions, taking appropriate actions based on assessments.
- Utilizes professional judgment in delivering and/or delegating patient care.
- Assists with unit employee processes, including orientation and professional development.
- Performs other duties as assigned within the scope of licensure.

Required Licensure/Certifications:
- RN license in the state of Texas or Compact State

- BCLS Certification

- ACLS Certification

Required Education/Experience:
- Registered Nursing degree

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as an RN in Critical Care settings.
- 1-2 years of experience as an RN in Med-Surg or Telemetry.
- TNCC and CCRN certifications.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to ensure high-quality patient care.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Capability to assist in moving patients weighing over 100 pounds with support from other staff.
