Tuscany Suites & Casino is seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our culinary team. As a Line Cook, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality food items according to our menu and recipe standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook food items to order, ensuring quality and presentation meet our standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety guidelines.
- Manage food inventory, restocking supplies as needed, and rotating products to ensure freshness.
- Assist with food preparation, cooking, and plating across multiple stations.
- Monitor and control food costs, adhering to budget guidelines.
- Handle, store, and rotate products according to SNHD regulations.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness, including food preparation, cooking, and dish stations.
- Label prepared food items according to Health Department standards.
- Check food and kitchen supplies, ensuring cooking utensils, pans, and equipment are clean and sanitary.
- Adhere to all health code regulations and standards.
- Assign cleaning duties as needed and assist with training kitchen personnel.
- Record food temperatures, production, and waste on required documentation.
We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role. You must be able to communicate clearly and effectively, and be able to reach, bend, and pull frequently, as well as lift up to 40 pounds. You will also need to work in a standing position for long periods and be able to work in a heated environment with varying temperatures.
A valid Nevada Health card is required for this position.
