Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Specialist to join our team at Dahl Consulting. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for processing payroll, performing related duties, and ensuring accuracy in calculations of wages, bonuses, and commissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll and perform related duties regarding team members' time and attendance/recordkeeping in payroll system (ADP)
  • Ensure accuracy in calculations of wages, bonuses, commissions, etc.
  • Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve issues with paychecks and or deductions
  • Address team member inquiries related to payroll, deductions, and discrepancies
  • Ensure payroll operations comply with local, state and federal regulations and labor laws
  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns and reports
  • Prepare and distribute W-2's, 1099 and other tax-related forms
  • Process and maintain records in payroll systems regarding team member changes
  • Assist with audits and provide necessary information
  • Meet with team members upon termination and process paperwork related to termination

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of experience working directly with payroll
  • Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and labor laws
  • Proficiency in payroll software (ADP preferred) and Excel
  • Ability to prioritize projects and work independently to meet deadlines
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to be organized and detail-oriented
  • Experience in Microsoft Office software and general computer skills
  • Ability to adhere to company's confidentiality policy regarding company and team member private data
  • Knowledgeable of basic office equipment, i.e. copy machine, fax machine, phone systems
