Key Responsibilities:- Assist with coordinating specimen processing and prioritizing phlebotomy demands.
- Transport lab-related supplies, equipment, and specimens in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Coordinate distribution of supplies for clinical areas and assist with stocking.
- Properly identify patients and collect specimens in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Process specimens and accurately apply barcode labels prior to delivery to specific lab departments for testing.
- Perform venipunctures, finger sticks, heel sticks, and assist with bone marrow collection, point of care glucose, and iSTAT testing in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
- Process non-GYN specimens and accurately document all necessary information on patient specimen tubes/containers and in the Laboratory Information System (LIS).
- Assist with maintaining inventory related to specimen processing and adhere to NMHS/NMMC Policies/Procedures/Guidelines.
- Comply with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guidelines/regulations/laws/statutes.
