Under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OT), the Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) is responsible for treating patients with therapeutic and self-care activities.

The OTA will implement treatment plans or protocols as directed by OTs, assist in treating injured, ill, or disabled patients to enhance their physical health to effectively perform daily activities, collect and compile data to document clients' performance or assess program quality, document clients' progress toward meeting established treatment objectives, and manage a full-time or part-time caseload.

The OTA will also develop a strong working relationship with other disciplinary teams to ensure a positive client experience, build rapport with family members and provide parent education to increase therapy carryover to home, collaborate and provide patient progress to relevant parties, and follow all HIPAA rules and regulations.

This position requires intermittent standing, lifting, kneeling, and sitting, and may work with clients who have mental, physical, and/or behavioral issues and who may at times be verbally or physically combative.
