Position Overview

The Project Manager plays a crucial role in overseeing and directing various building automation installation initiatives while fostering strong client relationships. This role serves as a vital link between the design engineer, field programmer, field technician, and installation subcontractor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and coordinate multiple automation installation projects while ensuring organizational efficiency.
  • Manage project contracts, including master subcontracts, subcontracts, and amendments.
  • Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with company personnel, clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Proactively address and meet tight and/or unexpected deadlines.
  • Comprehend and adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Effectively and efficiently utilize company resources.
  • Plan, organize, and execute assigned job responsibilities within set timeframes.
  • Uphold confidentiality standards.
  • Engage in self-directed learning to enhance job-related skills and stay updated on industry trends.
  • Follow safety protocols and lead by example by completing Pre-Task Plans, Good Work Practices, and demonstrating Leadership in the Field.
  • Oversee project financials and develop financial forecasts for projects.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with at least 5 years of project management experience in HVAC control and automation or equivalent industry background.
  • Comprehensive experience with computers and automation technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of the construction process.
  • Proven history of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Self-driven with the capability to work independently.
  • Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience in creating project schedules using Microsoft Project or similar tools.
  • Excellent customer service aptitude.
  • Familiarity with electrical wiring and schematics.
  • Strong skills in planning, scheduling, and negotiation.
  • Ability to function as a team player, exhibit flexibility, and maintain a positive demeanor.
  • Competence in writing, editing, and comprehending sequences of operations.
  • Ability to interpret and understand project drawings and specifications.
  • Effective communication skills with consulting engineers regarding design, implementation, and commissioning.
