Delicatessen Clerk

This is a customer-facing role that requires a high level of customer service skills. As a Delicatessen Clerk, you will be responsible for providing excellent service to customers, handling food in a safe manner, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

• Provide prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and resolving issues in a professional manner.
• Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate records of sales and inventory.
• Prepare and serve food and beverages to customers, including slicing meats, cheeses, and other deli items.
• Restock shelves, maintain inventory levels, and ensure that the deli area is clean and organized.
• Work effectively as part of a team to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

This role is located in a retail grocery store environment and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and provide excellent customer service in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.
