About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team at Covenant Living. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our campus, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas, following established schedules and departmental standards, to maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization.
  • Minor Maintenance: Complete minor maintenance tasks, including light bulb replacement, toilet plunging, and battery replacement, as needed.
  • Deep Cleaning: Perform deep cleaning tasks in assigned areas, including walls, ceilings, vents, light fixtures, windows, and other areas as scheduled or assigned.
  • Trash and Recycling: Remove trash and recyclables from collection points, public areas, and outside entrance areas, and transport to dumpster/trash pick-up areas.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain cleaning equipment and report any need for repair or replacement.
  • Reporting and Communication: Observe and report any need for repairs to facilities, furniture, fixtures, and other areas, and communicate effectively with residents and staff.
Requirements
  • Education: Some high school education or equivalent.
  • Experience: Housekeeping and/or general maintenance experience.
  • Communication: Ability to communicate effectively in English, verbal and written, with residents and staff.
  • Dependability: Dependability and common sense, with the ability to organize daily cleaning schedule to finish each day's assignment.
  • Availability: May require availability on weekends.
