Aerial Lineman

We are seeking a skilled Aerial Lineman to join our team at Kanaan Communications, LLC. As a key member of our construction crew, you will be responsible for installing and repairing aerial telecommunications cable, ensuring the safe and efficient delivery of our services.

• Install and repair aerial telecommunications cable
• Safely use hand tools and equipment, including wrenches, drills, ladders, lanyards, saws, lashers, climbing hooks, and more
• Safely operate mechanized equipment, such as bucket trucks, digger derricks, excavators, and more
• Set up safety perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers
• Flag traffic when required
• Understand separation and clearance regulations
• Safely work aloft using climbing hooks and ladders
• Maintain safe working habits/conditions according to all regulations, procedures, and policies

• At least 18 years old
• Authorized to work in the United States for this company
• Pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• Valid standard Driver's License with Class A Commercial Driver's License
• Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
• Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
• Able to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet
• Able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)
• Able to lift/carry 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs as needed with or without assistance
• Able to work over-time; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies or on-call
• Able to maintain a safe work environment
• Able to work in all weather conditions
• Able to travel when travel is required
• May have experience splicing of active & passive equipment
