Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Food Service Leader to join our team at Cumberland Farms. As a key member of our food operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality food items are prepared and presented to our guests in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Guest Experience: Greet all guests in a friendly and welcoming manner, making them feel valued and appreciated.
  2. Food Safety and Quality Control: Manage food safety, stock levels, costs, preparation, and presentation of all prepared food and beverage items, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations.
  3. Team Leadership: Provide training, feedback, coaching, and direction to fellow team members on food preparation, presentation, and safety requirements, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
  4. Operations Management: Oversee the Farmhouse Fresh 2 Go food service area, ensuring that presentation and work areas are kept sparkling clean, maintaining company standards, and adhering to standard food safety preparation and sanitization protocols.
  5. Inventory Management: Monitor product levels on the sales floor, including coolers and hot food cases, rotating stock, and keeping product levels full to achieve daily and weekly food prep goals.
  6. Administrative Tasks: Complete Farmhouse Fresh 2 Go Manager's reports and banking as needed in the absence of the Store Manager.
  7. Company Values: Lead by example in the execution of company values, programs, processes, and policies, promoting a positive and productive work environment.
Requirements
  • Minimum 6 months retail or food experience
  • Preferred 1 year in retail, service, or restaurant environment
  • ServSafe Certified a plus but not mandatory
  • Soft skills: comfortable talking and interacting with guests and team members, high energy, ability to move from one activity to another quickly, team-oriented, willing to give extra effort to help others
Working Conditions

This position involves working a variety of hours, day and night, as Cumberland Farms can be open 24 hours depending on the store. Weekend and holiday hours are required. Ability to stand/walk 8 hours a day, lift 40 lbs, reach overhead, bend, squat, twist, reach, grasp, and grip, and work in freezer and cooler (cold temperatures).
