Your Role:
The Nursing Supervisor (NS) is a licensed professional nurse who plays a crucial role in overseeing the care and services that patients and families require throughout their healthcare journey. The NS reports directly to the Director of Nursing (DON) or Chief Nursing Officer (CNO) and is accountable for the ongoing management of a designated nursing unit. The NS demonstrates analytical thinking, creativity, and possesses the expertise to manage resources effectively to ensure quality outcomes, positive staff relations, and adherence to healthcare standards. The NS excels in coaching, motivating, mentoring, and leading a professional team in delivering services to our patient demographic. The NS ensures that high-quality care is provided to our patients and exemplifies effective management of limited resources. The NS acts as a catalyst for change within their areas of responsibility and is tasked with implementing necessary adjustments within the unit. The NS actively engages in exceptional customer service, including interactions with patients, families, physicians, and other stakeholders, and takes responsibility for fostering respectful relationships.

Qualifications for Success:
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) required upon hire or within a specified timeframe.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing management.
- Experience in Oncology Nursing is essential.
- Current valid nursing license in the relevant state.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSN or MSN at the time of hire is highly preferred.
- Previous management experience is advantageous.
- Specific knowledge and skills relevant to the unit of employment.
- Professional Certification is a plus.
