We are seeking an experienced and responsible Construction Laborer to join our team. As a Construction Laborer, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, finishing, and maintaining various structures and fixtures in residential buildings. This role will involve installing cabinets, shelving, drywall, and insulation, as well as adding fixtures and fittings such as door handles, locks, and hinges.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including saws, hammers, and measurement tools.
- Inspect construction sites and conduct general repairs or maintenance.
- Clean and prepare construction sites as needed.
- Erect scaffolding, fencing, and ladders.
- Remove and properly dispose of debris and waste materials.
- Dig trenches and perform other site requirements.
- Move materials and equipment to and from construction areas.
- Follow all safety procedures on the job site, including PPE requirements, and report violations immediately to management.
- Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site daily.
- Load and unload construction supplies from trucks manually or with equipment.
- Report incidents immediately to safety, foreman, or project manager in accordance with incident reporting procedures.
- Travel to remote job sites as directed by management.
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to understand requirements.
- Take measurements and calculate material needs.
- Replace plumbing fixtures and light fixtures.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a construction laborer.
- Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
- Willingness to follow safety guidelines.
- Strong understanding of basic math.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to bend, climb, squat, reach, and kneel.
- Construction Laborer pay range: $18 - $22 per hour.
- Actual pay depends on education, experience, and performance.
