Position Overview:

The selected candidate will oversee and execute field-based reimbursement and health economics initiatives for Avita Medical's product offerings. This role will act as a vital resource for our sales teams and clients, providing expertise on coverage, reimbursement, coding, and health economics within the U.S. market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the sales team and clients regarding coverage, reimbursement, coding, and health economics for Avita Medical's offerings.
  • Deliver reimbursement and health economic training and support to the Avita sales force and key external stakeholders, including hospitals and professional societies.
  • Prepare and present informative sessions to both internal and external audiences on reimbursement and health economics topics.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients to enhance reimbursement outcomes and develop advocates to support Avita Medical's engagements with payer organizations.
  • Engage with decision-makers across government, physician, hospital, and third-party payer sectors.
  • Monitor payer and provider trends by region, integrating insights into Avita's strategic planning processes.
  • Create and manage centralized resources, such as coding guides and reimbursement materials, to ensure consistent communication regarding reimbursement policies.
  • Adhere to all quality procedures to maintain compliance and deliver high-quality work.
  • Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Willingness to travel up to 60% of the time.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the U.S. healthcare landscape, including Medicare, Medicaid, and private payer policies.
  • Familiarity with outpatient and inpatient coding (APC, MS-DRG, ICD-10), physician coding (CPT, HCPCS), and third-party payer issues.
  • Extensive knowledge of reimbursement processes across various service settings, including physician offices and surgical centers.
  • Ability to communicate complex economic and reimbursement concepts clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Capability to build and maintain productive relationships with clinical staff and customer groups.
  • Experience supporting a dynamic sales force, including sales leadership.
  • Proven strategic thinking and adaptability in executing effective reimbursement strategies.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word applications.
  • A minimum of 7-10 years of demonstrated success in reimbursement and health economics is required.
  • Prior experience in a medical device company, particularly with emerging technologies, is preferred.
  • A Bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in business or a healthcare-related field.
