The Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors is seeking applications for an open-rank tenured or tenure-track faculty position in the field of Chemical Engineering.
Department Details:
The Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering is a vibrant community comprising approximately 500 undergraduate students, 100 graduate students, and 20 faculty members. We promote interdisciplinary collaborations through various initiatives, engaging with centers focused on agriculture, biotechnology, energy, and environmental research.
Research and Teaching Expectations:
Successful candidates will demonstrate a strong track record or significant potential for establishing a robust externally-funded research program. They will also be expected to deliver high-quality instruction at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Responsibilities include:
1. Maintaining an active research agenda with a solid publication record.
2. Teaching a regular course load across various academic levels.
3. Engaging in service activities within the department and the broader academic community.
Research Interests:
While all research areas will be considered, we particularly encourage applicants with expertise in Biotechnology, Biomolecular Engineering, Catalysis, and Reaction Engineering. Candidates focusing on innovative solutions to contemporary challenges in plant biotechnology and agriculture are especially welcome.
