The role of the Collections Attorney involves managing accounts receivable with a focus on achieving outstanding results through effective communication and negotiation.
Key Responsibilities- Client Communication: Engage with clients via phone to discuss and recover overdue payments.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of client interactions, including inquiries, complaints, and resolutions within the company’s system.
- Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to resolve billing and collections issues.
- Follow-Up: Ensure clients receive consistent follow-up calls on unresolved accounts.
- Documentation: Send out collection letters in accordance with established company protocols.
- Reporting: Generate and maintain a monthly aging report to track collection activities.
- Policy Adherence: Follow the guidelines set forth in the company’s collection manual.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in first-party collections or accounts receivable.
- Strong critical thinking and organizational skills.
- Excellent time management abilities and the capacity to work independently.
