Key Responsibilities- Perform Maintenance and Repairs: Conduct mid to expert level break-fix and preventative maintenance on equipment and machinery, including observing devices in operation to locate root cause of problems, dismantling devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, and testing devices to observe performance.
- Source and Obtain Parts: Identify and source parts, supplies, and repair items as necessary to complete maintenance and repair tasks.
- Comply with Industry Standards: Independently perform maintenance and repairs as per industry standards, including 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Participate in Continuous Improvement: Drive and participate in CI activities, including processes, results, and cost savings.
- Update Records and Review CMMS History: Update records and review CMMS history to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Troubleshoot and Analyze Control Systems: Troubleshoot and analyze control systems to resolve software, hardware, and configuration problems.
- Utilize Predictive Maintenance Technologies: Utilize predictive maintenance technologies to collect equipment performance data.
- Provide Assistance and Training: Provide assistance to lower-level technicians and leadership to small teams, and perform more advanced functions as part of training and development.
- Complete On-the-Job and Technical Self-Study Programs: Complete on-the-job and technical self-study programs for career development.
- Follow Safety Policies and Procedures: Follow all safety-related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions, and guidelines, and identify unsafe behaviors and conditions.
- Education: High School Graduate or equivalent (GED).
- Experience: Associates degree with a technical focus and 3 years of related experience in general industry, or 5 years of related experience in general industry or successful completion of the ATS Technician Progression Program.
- Skills and Abilities: Understands electrical, mechanical, fluid power, and control systems, and can analyze problems and perform repairs.
- Physical Demands and Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, use hands/fingers to handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
