The Registered Nurse (RN) is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive patient experience. As a RN on our Intermediate Care Unit, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and develop your clinical skills in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assess and admit patients, conducting thorough evaluations to identify their needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Round checks and administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of care.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowerment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans, ensuring patient-centered care and optimal outcomes.
- Current RN licensure in Virginia or North Carolina.
- BSN or MSN degree preferred.
- ACLS certification within 1 year of hire.
- PALS or ENPC certification within 1 year of hire.
- ONS/ONCC or Sentara-approved course Chemotherapy & Biotherapy Provider Card within 6 months of hire.
