Job Description

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled RF Design Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD. As a key member of our Payload and Ground Systems organization, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing radio frequency (RF) and/or microwave systems architecture, sub-systems, circuits, or products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop RF and microwave systems, including antenna design, frequency synthesizers, transmitters, and receivers.
  • Apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to solve complex technical problems.
  • Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate RF and microwave systems into larger systems.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test procedures, test reports, and RF requirements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or related discipline with 2 years of experience in RF and microwave design.
  • Active electronically scanned arrays (AESAs) experience.
  • Experience using RF test equipment, such as signal generators, network analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
  • Experience using MATLAB.
  • Active TS Clearance required at time of application, with the ability to obtain and maintain a SCI access.
  • U.S. Citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • TS/SCI clearance.
  • Experience using modeling tools, such as STK and HFSS.
