Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Production Supervisor to lead our Planer Operations team. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient processing and packaging of dry lumber on site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of production staff to achieve excellence in all areas of planer operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce costs, and maximize the quality and value of lumber produced.
  • Oversee planer production, manning, and efficiency, ensuring compliance with all site protocols and regulations.
  • Manage and direct month-end inventory process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and achieve business objectives.
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in a related field (e.g., business, operations management, or a related field).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in lumber manufacturing or a heavy industrial environment.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, preferably in a planer operations setting.
  • Lumber grading certification is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills, with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a highly interactive team environment.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven, with a strong focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
