The Production Supervisor is a key member of the plant leadership team, responsible for delivering business results and operational improvements. This role oversees the day-to-day manufacturing operations for an assigned area and shift, ensuring productivity, efficiency, customer service, cost, quality, safety, and employee engagement objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to achieve business objectives, including productivity, efficiency, and quality improvements.
- Provide leadership, direction, and development to direct reports, fostering a culture of empowerment, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and promote safety programs and safe work practices, collaborating with plant safety teams and initiatives.
- Promote effective employee and labor relations within the department, ensuring a well-organized and qualified team.
- Support and develop cross-functional initiatives, driving continuous improvement and business growth.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Food Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience in a supervisor role, with 1-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to motivate and mentor large teams.
- Ability to work effectively with various plant personnel, from hourly employees to senior management.
