Job Summary:
The Nurse Extern is a valuable member of our healthcare team, providing essential support to patients and staff. As a current nursing student, you will have the opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge in a real-world setting, working under the supervision of experienced registered nurses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
- Provide basic patient care, including vital sign monitoring and documentation.
- Participate in cross-training to develop unit secretary clerical skills, enhancing your ability to support the team.
- Perform nursing practice interventions learned in clinical training, validated by a RN staff member.
Requirements:
- Education: Successful completion of a nursing fundamentals class within an accredited school of nursing program.
- Experience: Prior clinical experience in the area of expertise is preferred.
- Certification/Licensure/Registration: BLS Certification is required.
