Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced attending pathologist to join our team in the Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Departments at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. The ideal candidate will have strong general surgical pathology diagnostic skills and fellowship training or expertise in breast pathology, cytopathology, or other major surgical pathology areas.

Responsibilities:

The pathologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic testing, interpreting results, and providing clinical recommendations to healthcare providers. The candidate will also participate in quality improvement initiatives, educate staff on new techniques and technologies, and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

Candidates must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree, possession/eligibility for an unrestricted medical license to practice in New York State, and board certification/eligibility in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology. Additional certification/eligibility/experience in subspecialty board areas will be a plus.
