Key Responsibilities
  • Lead projects and guide teams through clarifying requirements, brainstorming solutions, and making tradeoffs between scope and schedule
  • Expand our analysis capabilities by adding new manufacturing processes to Fictiv's service offerings
  • Analyze production data to extract salient features for automation
  • Develop algorithms for analysis of 3D models and 2D drawings
  • Develop heuristics for estimating pricing and machinability of various manufacturing processes
Requirements
  • Mechanical Engineering background with a focus on computational geometry
  • Graphics background, preferably in video game or simulation development
  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Ph.D. in a relevant field
  • Strong C/C++ programming experience
  • Past internship, work experience, or project team experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate student with a focus on computational geometry and/or computer graphics
  • Engineer/Researcher/Software Developer with experience in computational geometry, computer graphics, AI, machine learning, or coding and algorithm development for CNC and/or 3D printing applications
