Job Summary:
The Registered Nurse - PACU provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and functions as an advisor and resource for patients and their families in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at LifeBridge Health.
Responsibilities:
- Provides comprehensive preoperative anesthesia screenings and preoperative prep for patients
- Provides educational resources to patients and their family members and facilitates communication with the anesthesia and surgical teams
- Provides care for a diverse population of patients and has experience dealing with different forms of trauma and multiple surgical specialties
- Thinks critically and has strong assessment, intervention, and communication skills
- Functions as a member of the patient care team and provides exceptional customer service to achieve successful patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Associate's degree in Nursing (AA) or Diploma in Nursing
- At least 1 – 3 years of RN experience within the PACU or Adult Critical Care environment
- Maryland Registered Nurse License, American Heart Association BLS Certification, ACLS
