We are currently looking for a Civil Engineering Staff Professional I to become a part of our dedicated team in a collaborative environment. In this role, you will receive guidance from experienced Project Managers, Project Engineers, and fellow Staff Professionals, enabling you to effectively contribute to civil engineering design initiatives that enhance community infrastructure across various sectors. This position offers a comprehensive exposure to the full project lifecycle, encompassing planning, design, permitting, bidding, and construction phases. You will benefit from mentorship by a diverse team, fostering your professional development through both practical experience and structured training programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the design of a variety of projects, including stormwater management, utility systems, roadway design, site development, and park projects.
  • Prepare plans, including site layouts, utility plans, profiles, and detailed site drawings.
  • Conduct calculations and generate reports for stormwater management, erosion control, and other necessary project permits.
  • Research and ensure compliance with relevant code requirements.
  • Manage DEP permits, including NPDES, MS4 Stormwater, and other permitting processes.
  • Engage in cost estimation for projects.
  • Review land development plans and provide feedback.
  • Support project bidding and construction services.
  • Contribute to green infrastructure design initiatives.
  • Participate in client meetings and interactions.
  • Assist in infrastructure replacement and rehabilitation projects.
  • Support pavement rehabilitation efforts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • E.I.T. Certification is preferred.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, HydroCAD, Hydraflow Storm Sewers, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Previous experience in a consulting engineering setting is advantageous (0-2 years of experience preferred), particularly in tasks such as:
    • Preparing drainage and stormwater management calculations and reports.
    • Creating project manuals, construction specifications, and managing contracts.
    • Writing technical reports.
    • Understanding subdivision and land development ordinances for municipal reviews.
  • Willingness to travel to job sites and meetings as required.
  • Must have the legal right to work in the U.S.
