Job Summary:
This is a Casual position with an 8-hour day shift schedule located at our Scripps Clinic in Mission Valley. The position will work approximately 1-2 shifts per week supporting various specialties within the clinic.
About the Role:
As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will perform patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate. You will also educate patients and families and document patient interactions. In this position, you will practice infection control and contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care within your scope of practice.
Responsibilities:
- Patient assessments and care tasks, including emergency procedures and medication administration as appropriate.
- Education of patients and families.
- Documentation of patient interactions.
- Practice of infection control.
Requirements:
- Current California LVN license.
- American Heart Association BLS for Health Care Provider.
- Ability to speak, read, write, and follow instructions in English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of outpatient experience as LVN or LPN.
- Experience in an outpatient setting.
