Executive Chef

KPC GLOBAL MEDICAL CENTERS INC. is seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team in the preparation of high-quality meals for hospital patients, employees, and visitors.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of cooking methods, procedures, and modified diets, as well as experience in food preparation and inventory management.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of menu items from scratch, following recipes and/or product directions
• Estimate food quantity requirements and minimize waste
• Coordinate cooking processes to ensure timely service of nutritious meals
• Maintain accurate records and reports on work activity, inventory, and supplies
• Evaluate hospital environment service and personnel issues and provide alternatives

Requirements:

• High School or equivalent education
• 0-6 months training in institutional food preparation
• Food Handler's Certification
• Able to work weekends and some holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a hospital food service setting
• Knowledge of sanitation methods, safety regulations, and practices
• Ability to evaluate and improve kitchen operations

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
