Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the rig up and rig down of equipment on each well under the guidance of the Senior Operator/Supervisor.
  • Prepare and operate well testing equipment, including shutdown systems, switchgear, generators, and compressors.
  • Ensure that all procedures are followed in accordance with safety precautions and practices required, and that equipment is operated within its limitations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and servicing of equipment to ensure it is ready and available for use as required.
  • Ensure that all power systems, lighting systems, and cables are used correctly and maintained in a safe working condition.
  • Perform visual operating checks and follow correct operating procedures on all equipment and systems, as per industry standard recommendations.
  • Discuss repair/maintenance actions with Supervisor for reporting duties and system utilization records.
  • Stand in for Senior Operator when needed.
  • Promote safety awareness and environmental consciousness while complying with all applicable safety and environmental procedures and regulations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
  • 2-3 years' experience as a well testing trainee preferred.
  • Completion of Intermediate Well Testing training school.
  • Bilingual preferred, ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.
Work Environment

The employee may be exposed to various outside weather conditions, including rain, humidity, snow, and/or heat during daytime hours and/or nighttime hours. The noise level in this work environment is usually moderate to loud for extended periods of time.
