At HCA Florida West Marion Hospital, we are committed to the growth and development of our future nurses. Our StaRN Residency Program is a year-long program designed to provide you with hands-on experience and the tools necessary to succeed in today's hospital environment.
As a Resident I Graduate Nurse, you will be surrounded by a supportive community of nurse educators, experienced nurses, and fellow residents that promote learning, clinical application, and socialization. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively on an evidence-based practice project and receive mentoring from experienced nurse leaders.
During your residency, you will receive advanced clinical training in a specialty area, participate in monthly educational sessions, and receive preceptorship training with a facility preceptor. You will also have the opportunity to work on hands-on simulations and receive feedback on your skills.
Our StaRN Residency Program is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed as a registered nurse. You will learn about patient-centered care, assess patient conditions, and perform procedures as ordered by medical providers. You will also learn about medication administration, patient education, and communication with patients and families.
