We are seeking a skilled Food Service Professional to join our team at Avamere at Albany. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality meals to our residents.
Responsibilities- Prepare and cook a variety of foods in large quantities, ensuring that meals are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
- Inspect diet trays and work with the facility's dietitian to process diet changes received from Nursing Services.
- Coordinate food service with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
- Ensure that food and supplies are readily available for the next meal.
- Review menus prior to preparation and assist in serving meals as necessary.
- Experience in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility is preferred.
- A valid Food Handler's Card is required.
- Ability to cook a variety of foods in large quantities and maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
- Knowledge of food preparation procedures and ability to maintain confidentiality of resident care information.
- Ability to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for residents and staff.
