Position Overview
Salary: £36,420

*Shifts operate on a 4 on 4 off basis, encompassing both day and night schedules.

Key Responsibilities:


As a Security Operations Officer, your primary role will involve collaborating with management and team leaders throughout the hotel to uphold public relations and ensure safety and security through effective training.

  • Control access to restricted areas, monitor alarm systems, and assist visitors with inquiries.
  • Ensure accurate staff clock-in and clock-out procedures, verifying access permissions and time zone compliance.
  • Issue and retrieve keys, create staff identification cards, and maintain accurate records.
  • Conduct regular patrols of both back of house and front of house areas to ensure security protocols are followed.
  • Monitor CCTV footage and report any suspicious activities to in-house security for further investigation.
  • Perform bag checks for staff and contractors exiting the premises, documenting findings in the Security Log Book.
  • Coordinate with supervisors regarding fire alarm deactivation during maintenance activities.
  • Document and report all incidents and accidents, ensuring appropriate medical assistance is provided.
  • Oversee the Fire Alarm panel, Panic Alarm, and other security systems.
  • Facilitate a thorough handover at the end of each shift, ensuring all records are accurately maintained.
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety regulations, implementing safe working practices for yourself and colleagues.
Qualifications:
Essential Skills:
  • 1-3 years of experience in the hospitality sector.
  • Exceptional communication abilities, both written and verbal.
  • Confident and engaging speaker, capable of interacting effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Relevant job-related skills aligned with assigned duties.
Required Certifications:
  • Valid SIA Door Supervisor Licence - Essential
  • Valid First Aid Certificate – Desirable
  • Additional training in Health & Safety, SIA CCTV, Defibrillator, or Fire Marshall/Warden is advantageous.
