Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our team at Open Systems International. As a key member of our project delivery team, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and implementing control systems for our utility customers.

About the Role:
In this role, you will work on various projects to implement and improve Digital Grid Management (DGM) control systems. Your primary focus will be on providing technical sales support for state-of-the-art power systems applications, including sales presentations and product demonstrations. You will also evaluate contract specifications, define project requirements through customer communication, and communicate these requirements to other departments as necessary. Additionally, you will perform hardware, software, and system installation, integration, and testing for projects. You will customize system, hardware, and network configuration based on customer requirements and provide customer support and assistance per contract maintenance and warranty. Your responsibilities may also include assisting in creating training materials and project documentation as needed.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field. A minimum of 5 years of project engineering/management work experience is required, with the ability to travel up to 20%. You should have experience in one or more of the following: SCADA, power systems, electric utility operations/dispatch, real-time control systems, client/server applications, network communications, UNIX/Linux/Windows operating systems, and software programming/scripting (Python, C/C++). Experience in databases (Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Mongo, Cassandra), JSON, and common utility protocols (ICCP, DNP, MultiSpeak) is preferred. Excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational, interpersonal, and leadership skills are essential, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to multi-task on several projects in parallel in a fast-paced environment is a plus. Strong commitment to providing superior customer service is required.

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience.
