Mechanical Tradesperson

Job Summary:

General Motors is seeking a skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team. As a Mechanical Tradesperson, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing mechanical systems and equipment in our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and repair mechanical systems, including pumps, motors, and gearboxes

Install and test new equipment and systems

Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues

Collaborate with other tradespeople and technicians to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing processes

Requirements:

6+ years of experience in a related trade or field

Strong knowledge of mechanical systems and equipment

Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with industrial robotics and automation systems

Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety procedures
