Yard Spotter

The Yard Spotter is responsible for driving, transporting, and spotting trailers at appropriate loading docks and/or warehouse staging areas.

• Attach drive unit to trailers to move to and from warehouse for loading and unloading.
• Inspect truck for defects, before and after trips, and submit reports indicating truck condition.
• Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
• Ensure that trailers are processed in the order designated by management.
• Keep the yard organized and in order.
• Perform yard checks three times in a 24-hour period.
• Operate a front-end loader to move railcars.
• Wash tankers when needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Experience driving LTL - 53' trailer.
• Driving Hazmat, Tanker, LTL, or Bulk loads in the local area.
• Hazmat and Tanker endorsements required.
• Current Class A CDL with a Medical Card.
• A minimum of 3 years truck driving experience.
• Comfortable with the use of a Forklift and general warehouse duties.
• Knowledge of DOT load securement regulations.
• Clean driving record.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs/23kg and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs/45kg.

Must be able to legally operate a motor vehicle and safely and frequently enter/exit the vehicle as well as the rear cargo area.
