Job Description

Emerson is seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team in Elyria, OH. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing bench assembly and machine operations to mass-produce products and components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stand and perform bench assembly and machine operations to mass-produce products and components
  • Read and follow bill of material and routing
  • Place parts in specified relationship to each other
  • Restock parts and add coolant as needed
  • Tend machines, such as milling, grinding, and drilling to perform required operations to product
  • Pack finished product in proper container
  • Read and follow work instructions and safety analysis sheet
  • Scan onto jobs via inventory collection device
  • Record information on process and sustainment sheets
  • Work at different workstations as production needs require
  • Support and sustain ISO procedures, Lean Manufacturing, and 5-S efforts
  • Work on line where tasks vary as different model of same article moves along line
  • Perform organizing and daily cleaning duties to ensure safe work area
  • Other duties may be assigned in support of production needs
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to work any shift assigned
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multi-task and work safely and effectively in manufacturing environment
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
  • Previous related experience
