Aerospace Composite Technician

Location: Goodyear, AZ

Overview:

We are seeking qualified candidates for the role of Aerospace Composite Technician. This position requires individuals who can perform aircraft maintenance and repairs efficiently while adhering to all applicable regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct quality maintenance and repairs on aircraft within budgeted timeframes.
  • Follow all Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, Repair Station Procedures, and customer specifications.
  • Organize and execute work plans effectively to ensure timely delivery of quality results.
  • Perform maintenance tasks such as the removal and installation of aircraft components, including powerplant and flight control systems.
  • Repair, modify, and overhaul aircraft systems to maintain airworthiness.
  • Utilize various aircraft sealants and fasteners, applying them correctly according to specifications.
  • Fabricate parts as necessary, demonstrating knowledge of metals and alloys.
  • Execute complex structural repairs as outlined in repair manuals and engineering documents.
  • Utilize heat control units appropriately and ensure safe handling of hazardous materials.
  • Complete all tasks in compliance with FAA quality standards and our approved maintenance manual.
  • Read and interpret Maintenance Manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalogs, and other relevant documents to troubleshoot and complete assignments.
  • Maintain cleanliness in the work area and ensure proper documentation of parts and repairs.
  • Promote a culture of safety by adhering to guidelines and monitoring the work environment.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work with hazardous chemicals and wear a full-face respirator.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and endure loud noise environments.
  • Physical capability to bend, stoop, kneel, and stand for extended periods.
  • Visual acuity of at least 20/40 corrected and full color vision required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; A&P License preferred.
  • Two years of experience in an aviation-related composite environment is desirable.
  • Must provide personal tools as per the Company Tool List.
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and understanding English is essential.
