Quality Assurance Engineer

Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a skilled and motivated Test Engineer to contribute to the enhancement of space launch facilities, ensuring mission objectives are met while providing essential range capabilities. This role plays a critical part in the modernization and digital transformation initiatives aimed at increasing the frequency of space launches, paving the way for the future Spaceport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist software development teams in implementing DevSecOps strategies.
  • Contribute to the creation of cutting-edge Test Automation solutions.
  • Engage in the preparation and execution of detailed subsystem and enterprise-level testing plans and protocols.
  • Support planning for system and element-level testing, including readiness evaluations.
  • Document testing requirements and verification methods within the requirements management framework.
  • Aid in the formulation of system integration strategies, procedures, and scenarios for software and hardware testing.
  • Identify and analyze technical risks associated with projects, proposing mitigation strategies and opportunities.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of nine (9) years of relevant experience; a master's degree with seven (7) years of experience; or a PhD with four (4) years of experience.

Experience Requirements:

  • Proficiency or experience with Agile development methodologies, including Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.
  • Experience in engaging with and presenting to government stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with government policies, regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Experience utilizing requirements management tools, such as DOORS.
  • Proficient in using discrepancy management tools, such as Jira.
  • Knowledge of continuous integration and deployment tools, including Bamboo.
  • Experience with version control systems like Bitbucket.
  • Familiarity with Unix-like operating systems.

Security Clearance:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Clearance or the capability to obtain one.
