Position Overview

About Us:

Role Summary:
The Pantry Assistant is responsible for managing the daily operations of the Mission Pantry. This role involves assisting in the fulfillment of orders and maintaining accurate inventory records for both perishable and non-perishable items received and distributed. The Pantry Assistant also plays a key role in the preparation of food box distribution programs and collaborates closely with volunteers.

Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Pantry Manager.

Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position, operating Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts as needed.

Compensation:
Starting pay is $15.00 per hour.

  • The capacity to engage in physical activities for extended periods.

Key Responsibilities:
The Pantry Assistant will:

  • Support daily warehouse operations, including inventory management and organization.
  • Drive company vehicles for scheduled donation pickups.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory and donations.
  • Assist in the preparation and distribution of food boxes.
  • Adhere to safety protocols when operating machinery and vehicles.

Physical Requirements:
This position requires:

  • Extended periods of standing, lifting, and moving.
  • Occasional use of computers and exposure to screens.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Adaptability to varying temperatures and noise levels.
