Role Responsibilities
The Surgical Anesthesia Support Specialist plays a vital role in the surgical process by:
- Assisting in the preparation and organization of patient care during surgical procedures.
- Ensuring the efficient operation of the surgical unit.
- Gathering and managing essential equipment, sterile supplies, and instruments for each surgery.
- Preparing surgical areas by assembling necessary supplies and opening sterile items.
- Maintaining cleanliness by decontaminating and sterilizing instruments and workspaces.
- Coordinating equipment repairs and managing inventory of surgical tools.

Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent.
- An Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred.
- At least 2 years of relevant patient care experience, with 1 year in an operating room setting preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 60 days of hire.
- Anesthesia Technician Certification is preferred.
