Job Overview

ProCare Therapy is seeking a committed and empathetic Educational Support Specialist to enhance the learning experience for students in a supportive educational setting. This full-time role is designed for individuals with a minimum of 1+ years of experience in paraprofessional or special education roles.

Position Highlights:

  • Employment Type: W2 Contract
  • Weekly Hours: 30 hours, 6 hours per day
  • Compensation: Starting at $18 per hour
  • Benefits Package: Includes Medical, Dental, Vision, and 401k
  • Placement: Final assignment will be determined upon team return

Work Schedule:

  • Middle School: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Elementary School: 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to students in Special Education (SPED) or General Education (GE) classrooms, or collaborate within an SDC class
  • Assist in managing classroom dynamics and behavior
  • Support students with daily routines, academic tasks, and social integration
  • Implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs) under the guidance of the classroom instructor
  • Promote a positive and inclusive educational atmosphere
  • Maintain effective communication with educators, staff, and families

Qualifications:

  • Experience in an educational environment is preferred
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated patience, empathy, and a dedication to student success
  • Willingness to adapt to diverse classroom settings and student requirements
