Job Summary

A Polysomnographic Technologist is responsible for providing comprehensive evaluation and treatment of patients with sleep disorders. This includes in-center and out-of-center sleep testing, diagnostic and therapeutic interventions, comprehensive patient care, and direct patient education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform sleep testing and diagnostic procedures
  • Provide comprehensive patient care and education
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop treatment plans
  • Conduct research and stay up-to-date on the latest sleep disorder treatments and technologies
Requirements
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • High School plus 2 years or more of formal training or Associates Degree in Polysomnography (Sleep Technology)
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) with the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and Registered as RPSGT with North Carolina Medical Board
  • 0 to 3 years of experience as a Polysomnographic Technologist
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with benefits, working 36 hours per week. The shift is three 12-hour night shifts per week.
