Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant

Job Summary:
Arbor Acres United Methodist Retirement Community is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team. As a CNA, you will provide high-quality care to our residents, assisting with daily living activities and supporting the nursing staff in providing care to geriatric patients.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist residents with personal grooming and dressing
  2. Assist residents with use of toilet and/or bedpan
  3. Transport residents to and from meals, activities, and other areas as needed
  4. Respond promptly to resident call bells or requests from residents and any emergencies within one (1) minute
  5. Provide non-skilled treatments such as measurement of vital signs, turning and positioning, transfers, recording of bowel and bladder function, care for the incontinent, including skin care, range of motion exercises, assistance with walking, testing of urine, recording of in-take and out-put, application and release of protective restraints, weighing and measuring, administration of non-medicated enemas and vaginal irrigations, collections of voided urine specimens and stool specimens, and post-mortem care of the body
  6. Assist residents with the dining experience
  7. Communicate reports of residents' conditions, especially any unusual incidents or changes
  8. Assess clothing for cleaning needs, labeling, and appropriate storage
  9. Assist residents with social activities
  10. Record supply usage
  11. Assist with maintaining residents' environment
  12. Perform any other duties and/or tasks that may be assigned on an as-needed basis by an authorized supervisor

Requirements:
  1. Certified as a Nurse Aide I (Certified Nursing Assistant) and registered with the North Carolina Department of Facility Services Nurse Aide Registry
  2. High School Diploma or GED required
  3. Prefer 6 months of experience
