Job Overview

Reports To: Executive Housekeeper, Assistant Executive Housekeeper

Supervises: Room/Suite Attendants

Purpose of the Role: To oversee Room Attendants and conduct inspections of hotel guest accommodations, including bathrooms, hallways, and public areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delegate tasks to Room Attendants and provide training on housekeeping protocols; may also engage in cleaning activities.
  2. Maintain records of room occupancy.
  3. Address guest concerns related to housekeeping services or equipment.
  4. Prepare requisitions for room supplies and furniture maintenance or replacements.
  5. Inspect carpets, drapes, and furnishings for stains, damage, or deterioration.
  6. Monitor and inventory linens and supplies, assisting in budget management through oversight of staff usage.
  7. Document inspection findings and inform cleaning staff of any deficiencies.
  8. Coordinate with other hotel departments regarding issues requiring their intervention.
  9. Ensure adherence to key control protocols.
  10. Proactively engage with guests in a courteous and welcoming manner.
  11. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills:

  1. Knowledge of material safety data sheet regulations when handling chemicals.
  2. Ability to lift, carry, or maneuver heavy objects.
  3. Comprehension of basic instructions.
  4. Capacity to learn straightforward procedures and techniques.
  5. Ability to perform repetitive tasks effectively.
  6. Skill in planning the work of others.
