Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Coordinator to join our team at Guardian Fire Protection Services, LLC. As a Payroll Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing and processing the company's payroll, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify and validate timecards across multiple platforms to ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
  • Process payrolls for all employees on a regular schedule, ensuring timely and accurate payment of wages, bonuses, and other compensation.
  • Accurately enter or update timecard data, including relevant notes and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations, staying updated on changes in payroll legislation and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management and other departments as needed, including generating year-end reports and other tax-related documents.
  • Address and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee inquiries promptly, investigating and correcting payroll errors per company process.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate employee data and financial reporting.
  • Conduct regular audits of payroll procedures and records to ensure accuracy and compliance, assisting with internal and external audits related to payroll.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent work experience.
  • Knowledge in prevailing wage and certified payroll required.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in multi-state payroll processing.
  • Strong understanding of payroll laws and regulations.
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines on a weekly basis.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, written and verbal.
  • Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.

Compensation
  • This is an hourly position based on experience. Pay is negotiable.
