Job Title: Epoxy Chemist

Custom Building Products, a leading manufacturer of construction materials, is seeking an experienced chemist with expertise in reactive polymer chemistries, including epoxies, urethanes, silanes/siloxanes, and hydrid systems.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Plan, execute, and analyze experimental lab work to develop new products based on reactive chemistries.
  • Collaborate with multifunctional teams to ensure successful execution of R&D projects from concept to commercialization.
  • Evaluate prototypes with Technical Services and customers to validate market success.
  • Assess competitive products and alternative reactive technologies.
Expected Qualifications:
  • B.S. degree in Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related field.
  • 3-5+ years of industrial formulation experience, with a focus on epoxy products.
  • Experience in other reactive chemistries, such as urethanes, phenolics, polyaspartics, and/or sil(ox)anes.
  • Demonstrated track record of developing commercially successful products.
  • Experience with manufacturing scale-up processes and construction industry practices.
