As the Facilities Maintenance Manager, your primary responsibility will be to ensure that the premises, equipment, and utilities are kept in optimal condition, adhering to the policies of the facility as well as local, state, and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe, comfortable, and visually appealing environment.
  • Implement preventative maintenance schedules for essential equipment (e.g., HVAC systems, plumbing, water heaters).
  • Conduct repairs and replacements for equipment and facilities as required.
  • Supervise vendors, contractors, and service providers.
  • Manage and monitor related budgets effectively.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including fire and life safety codes.
  • Oversee the maintenance of the exterior property, including landscaping and snow removal services.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of five years of experience in institutional maintenance.
  • Experience in the long-term care or healthcare sector is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Life Safety Code requirements is advantageous.
  • Basic technology skills, including proficiency in computer usage, websites, and email.
  • General knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and fire safety.
  • Basic carpentry and hardware skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service abilities.
  • Consistent and reliable attendance.
  • Graduation from a relevant technical or trade school is preferred.
