Key Responsibilities
Our projects encompass various domains of interest, with core competencies that include but are not limited to:
- Program analysis, focusing on program comprehension, vulnerability detection, and remediation strategies.
- Malware examination and reverse engineering techniques.
- Resilient networking solutions tailored to support cyber mission objectives.
- Software-defined networking applications for cyber defense and deception strategies.
- Artificial intelligence applications, including reasoning, probabilistic inference, and machine learning methodologies.
- 5 years of experience with a BS/BA; 3 years with an MS/MA; 0 years with a PhD.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific/engineering field.
- Strong aptitude and eagerness to rapidly acquire knowledge in new subject areas.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C, C++, Java, Python, Go, or similar.
- Familiarity with Linux, MacOS, Windows, and mobile operating systems, platforms, and internals.
- Understanding of contemporary computer networking technologies.
- Experience with modern development practices and toolsets (e.g., Git, Subversion, CI/CD toolchains).
- Experience in a leadership role on software development projects or research teams.
- Background as a Principal Investigator on Department of Defense or Intelligence Community research initiatives.
- Experience in business development, including technical marketing, idea generation, and drafting proposals for new projects.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas:
- Program Analysis
- Computer networking protocol design and analysis
- Compute and network emulation, containerization, and virtualization techniques
- Reverse Engineering methodologies
- Real-Time Operating Systems (RTOS)
- Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) applications
- Familiarity with various tools and frameworks, including:
- Binary Analysis Tools such as GHIDRA, Hex-Rays IDA, Binary Ninja, Angr
- Debugging and Sandboxing tools like Cuckoo Sandbox, OllyDBG, WinDbg
- CNO toolsets, including Metasploit and Cobalt Strike
- Network emulation frameworks such as CORE, EMANE, MiniNet
- Container and orchestration solutions, including Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes, Terraform
- Experience with cloud services (AWS, Azure, OpenStack)
- Familiarity with DevOps and Agile development methodologies.
- Experience within the U.S. Department of Defense or Intelligence Community research sectors.
- Operational experience in Computer Network Operations (CNO).

Compensation Range
$112,000 - $179,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
