Our team of over 200 oncologists, hematologists, and support staff across multiple locations is driven by a shared goal: transforming the landscape of cancer and blood disorder treatment. Through innovative therapies, pioneering research, and a commitment to patient-centered care, we are at the forefront of modern healthcare.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and document patients' vital signs before, during, and after infusion treatments.
- Accurately log patient details regarding infusion therapies, including medication dosages, infusion rates, and patient reactions.
- Prepare patients for infusion sessions by explaining procedures, addressing any concerns, and ensuring their comfort.
- Maintain cleanliness and sterility of all equipment, including IV lines, needles, and infusion sites.
- Assist healthcare providers during infusion treatments by supplying necessary tools and support.
- Collect and handle laboratory specimens pertinent to infusion therapy, such as blood samples for compatibility checks.
- Perform venipuncture for IV access and manage intravenous lines proficiently.
- Conduct point-of-care testing as needed to monitor patients' responses to infusions.
- Administer Electrocardiograms (EKGs) when required for patient evaluation.
Qualifications:
- Valid Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant, particularly in infusion therapy.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred to enhance communication with diverse patient groups.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel for effective documentation and data management.
Work Schedule: Monday–Friday with alternating Saturdays
Compensation: Up to $25 per hour based on experience. Benefits include Tuition Reimbursement, Health Insurance from day one, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short and Long-term disability, 401k Plan, generous PTO, 8 paid holidays (2 floating), and more.
