Role Overview:
As a Micro Focus PPM System Administrator and Developer, you will play a crucial role in managing, configuring, and enhancing the Micro Focus Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) system. Your expertise will ensure the efficient operation and continuous advancement of our PPM environment, aligning with our project management and organizational goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and oversee the Micro Focus PPM system, ensuring optimal availability, performance, and security.
- Customize and configure the PPM system to fulfill organizational requirements, including workflows, dashboards, and reporting tools.
- Develop and implement integrations with various enterprise systems and applications.
- Collaborate with project managers, stakeholders, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver effective PPM solutions.
- Conduct regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to maintain the PPM system's currency and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve PPM system-related issues, providing technical support to users as necessary.
- Create and deliver training materials and sessions for end-users to enhance the effective utilization of the PPM system.
- Monitor system performance and implement enhancements to improve performance and user experience.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for configurations, customizations, processes, and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience as a System Administrator and Developer for Micro Focus PPM or comparable project management software.
- Strong grasp of project and portfolio management principles and best practices.
- Proficient in configuring and customizing PPM systems, including workflow design, report generation, and dashboard creation.
- Experience with scripting and programming languages such as SQL, JavaScript, and PL/SQL.
- Familiarity with integrating PPM systems with other enterprise applications (e.g., ERP, CRM).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Strong communication skills, capable of interacting effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
